New Feature: Order Handling Capacity
Now you can feel more comfortable setting your default order handling time to 1 day! Customers will see shorter delivery promises and will be more likely to buy.
Worried you won’t be able to manage a shorter handling time?
The Order Handling Capacity feature helps you set a limit for how many orders you can handle. As soon as you get 1 more order than your limit, the tool will automatically add 1 day to your handling time for all additional orders on products that have a 0-2 day handling time, helping your business to not be overwhelmed.
1. Go to Shipping Setting on Seller Central
a) Click on General Shipping Settings b) Scroll to the Handling time section c) Click Edit
2. Set Your Default Handling Time
We recommended 1-day Handling time. (Customers will see shorter delivery promises and will be more likely to buy)
Set Your Order Handling Capacity:
Type the maximum number of orders that you want to accept per day with your default handling time. (For every order after this limit, you will have 1 additional day of Handling time which will not be considered a late shipment)
Example:
If your Default handling time is 1 day, and your Order Handling Capacity is 100, when you receive the 101st order, you will have 2 days of handling time for every order after the 100th order
Sellers like you, on average overestimate by 45% the number of days it takes to prepare and ship packages. Sellers are often overly-cautious of setting shorter handling time because on a busy day with too many orders, they might not be able to deliver on their promise.
